Terms of use
These terms govern the use of the Sipumo app. They are short and meant to say clearly what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
1. Provider and scope
The app is provided by Cyntro Systems GmbH, Theodor-Körnergasse 7, 8720 Knittelfeld, Austria (imprint). Apps from the App Store are subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms apply in addition and cover what it does not, above all the family duel.
2. What Sipumo is
Sipumo helps you log your drinks, follow a daily goal and get reminders. The app has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. It is not a medical device; please read the health notice.
3. Children
Children may use Sipumo with the consent and under the supervision of their parents. For children under 14, the parents decide whether their child takes part in the family duel.
4. Licence
You may use Sipumo for private purposes under Apple’s licence agreement. The app, its characters, pictures and texts are protected by copyright. You may not modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
5. Family duel
- A group consists only of people who were invited. Whoever invites decides who gets the invitation link. Only pass it on to people who should take part.
- All members see the others’ name, picture, goal, streak and daily totals. Nobody sees individual drinks.
- Please play fair: log what you really drank and choose a name that does not insult anyone or infringe anyone’s rights.
- You can leave a group at any time. Whoever started a group can dissolve it for everyone.
- The duel runs on Apple’s iCloud. We cannot see or change the content of groups. If there is a problem in a group, leave it or ask the person who started it to dissolve it.
6. Availability and changes
We keep developing Sipumo and may change features where there is good reason, such as new iOS versions or security. The family duel depends on iCloud; if iCloud is unavailable, the duel is temporarily unavailable too. The rest of the app works without an internet connection.
7. Warranty and liability
Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law. For slight negligence, our liability for damage to property is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Because your data is only on your device, we recommend exporting important data from time to time.
8. Privacy
How Sipumo handles data is explained in the privacy policy.
9. Ending use
You can stop using Sipumo at any time by deleting the app. Leave your duel groups first.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country where you habitually reside and can sue and be sued in the courts provided by law.
11. Final provisions
If a provision is invalid, the others remain valid. If we change these terms, we will tell you in the app or on this page; changes to your disadvantage only apply once you have agreed to them or where the law allows them. The German version is the original; this English version is a translation.
